報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介:Dr Qiaofen Cheng. She earned her PhD degree in Agricultural and Food Engineering from University College Dublin in Ireland. After working as research officer in Ashtown Food Research center (TEAGASC) for 3 years, she transitioned to the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, University of Reading in 2008, where she is currently employed as assistant professor. She has multiple roles in the department including teaching initiatives, engages in cutting-edge research, and fosters international collaborations. Currently Dr Cheng is supervising 3 PhD students (plus 2 graduated) and has a research interest in novel food processing technology, meat carcinogen control and sensory perception. She supervises UG, MSc and PhD students at all levels and teaches module of Food Processing, Food Chemistry, Research Methods, Food chain and Health in the department and international partner institutions. She also serves as a consultant as part of team in Food Processing Center for food industries in UK. Dr Qiaofen Cheng published many scientific papers in leading food journals including Critical Reviews of Food Sciences and Nutrition, Food Quality and Preference, Food Chemistry, Food Control, Meat Science, Journal of Food Engineeringetc. and two book chapters. She also works as international partnership manager overseeing collaborative education programmes such as 2+2, 3+1, 4+1 progamme with partners in China, Thailand, and Malaysia. She also serves as Program Director of European Institute of Technology (EIT) Master of Food System progamme in University of Reading to collaborate with other EU partners.
